Copps imposes moratorium on park development

Heritage minister Sheila Copps has announced a one-year moratorium on all development in communities within national parks. There will also be a one-year limit on commercial accommodation outside park communities, but within park boundaries. The main impact will be felt in the community of Banff. It had proposed significant commercial development. That has been cut in half.
