Do Wayne Gretzky and Lucy Maud Montgomery belong in the Banff National Park? The mayor of Banff, Dennis Schuler, thinks the plan is a little tacky. Schuler and others in the town of Banff are upset because Heritage Canada plans to erect these and other life-sized cutouts in front of the national park administration building. Former hockey star Wayne Gretzky and Anne of Green Gables' author Montgomery are just two of the figures whose silhouettes may grace the park. Others include the first prime minister, Sir John A. Macdonald, and Chief Crowfoot, a prominent Blackfoot leader.
