Some of Canada's most beloved outdoors destinations are among the country's most endangered national parks, the Canadian Nature Federation (CNF) said today. The CNF released its Ten Most Endangered National Parks list today in Ottawa where Parliament is expected to consider revisions to the National Park Act in the new year. "This list highlights ten of Canada's 39 national parks that are the most severely stressed by over-use and development within park borders, and from commercial and agricultural development and industrial resource extraction on adjacent lands," said Kevin McNamee, CNF's Wildlands Campaign Director... Banff (AB), our nation's first national park, remains under constant and heavy pressure from tourism development, the impacts of which may soon cause serious and irreversible harm to the park and its wildlife
