Carol Phillips leaving Banff Centre

Carol Phillips is leaving her post as vice president of the Banff Centre in Alberta and director of its principal division, the Centre for the Arts. The centre will not be renewing Phillips' contract when it expires at the end of February. Phillips is a former director of the Winnipeg Art Gallery. She came to Banff to head the arts division in 1992. Among her supporters, Phillips is credited with maintaining and developing the international reputation of Banff's arts division as a place for experimentation and cutting-edge work.
