The Attractions Canada Awards, a competition designed to recognize and spotlight the unique character of Canada's many attractions, today honoured the excellence of seven sites and events in Canada for visitors to discover.... Canadian's Choice Award: Banff National Park (Alberta) Banff National Park, created in 1885, was Canada's first national park, the second in North America and the third worldwide. This site occupies over 6,500 km2 and welcomes some 4.7 million visitors every year. The park's two main service centres are in the town of Banff and the village of Lake Louise.
