Study shows Canadian documentaries in decline

A study to be presented today at the Banff Television Festival on the state of documentary production across Canada shows that production is up. However, the feature-length documentary, traditionally a speciality of Canadian documentary producers, has nearly disappeared in the new world of specialty channels and made-for-TV productions. .
