Town of Banff moving to alternative energy

Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd. (SET) today announced their participation in the Banff Sustainable Energy Group. The Banff Sustainable Energy Group is a joint venture between the Municipality of Banff and a group of companies lead by Soltek Solar Energy that includes SET. The Group's initial objective is to reduce the dependence of the Town of Banff's Operational Centre on the electrical grid with the introduction of alternative electrical energy sources. The secondary, and perhaps more important objective, is to clearly demonstrate the uses and benefits of sustainable energy sources. The Town of Banff and the Banff Sustainable Energy Group intend to showcase Banff as a model environmental and sustainable energy community
