A 35-year-old Quebec man is dead after he slipped and fell about 100 metres while climbing a mountain. Sylvan Aubin was the third climber in the last week to be killed mountain climbing in the Rockies. Mr. Aubin had been climbing Mount Colin in Jasper National Park when he fell. A friend he was climbing with gave him first aid before going for help, but rescuers arrived too late. Windy conditions at the time of the rescue made instant recovery very difficult, RCMP said.
