Court challenge to definition of fetus involves local doctor

Whether a full-term fetus should have the same rights as a child under Canadian law will be disputed in a Calgary court today as part of a Canmore couple's lawsuit against a doctor. In Court of Queen's Bench, a lawyer for Cindy and Stephen Martin will argue that an unborn fetus should be valued the same as a child as part of a civil case against Dr. Lynne Marriott, after their baby was delivered stillborn.
