A Calgary man is being hailed as a hero after he dug out three avalanche victims and ran down a slope and over treacherous mountain terrain for help in near-record time. The three Calgary climbers were carried down the side of Mount Wooley and would have died had it not been for the efforts of Joshua Briggs. Mr. Briggs made the normally four-hour hike out of the bush in about two hours.
