Lake Louise battle heats up

A battle to prevent the construction of a convention centre in Lake Louise is being fought in a Vancouver Federal Court of Appeal. Lawyers from the Sierra Legal Defence Fund argue with Parks Canada and Canadian Pacific lawyers that a 1999 Federal Court of Canada decision failed to properly interpret Canada's Environmental Assessment Act.
