Banff officials warn skiers to stay home or travel in packs January 3, 2001
The cougar that killed a 30-year-old cross-country skier in Banff National Park was exhibiting very unusual behavior, according to park officials. Park warden Ian Syme said, “We may never know what cause the attack,” which he characterized as extremely rare.
