Banff residents, officials struggle to explain fatal cougar attack

Two cougar attacks have sparked residents’ fear and rekindled the debate over humans and wildlife competing for the use of pristine country. Park wardens believe that cougars in the Banff area are losing their fear of people as they compete with wolves for a limited supply of elk.
