Captured cougar to be released in wild January 5, 2001
A cougar captured in the town of Banff Thursday will be relocated to a remote part of the National Park. The mountain lion is believed to be the same one that attacked a dog and stalked a woman on Tuesday. Chief warden Ian Syme says the captured cougar will be moved to an area well inside the park, where there is plenty of game. He says it is unlikely to return to the town or cause any more trouble.
