Hope for Hot Springs

Time will tell if a cooling pattern at Banff Upper Hot Springs will be given a heated boost by spring's thaw. In recent years, the tourist mecca has seen a shortage of water because of a reduction in precipitation which feeds the springs. During winter months, Parks Canada has bolstered the water supply by topping it up 5% with municipal water, which cools the pools down.
