Wardens must stop enforcing laws for now

Parks Canada has turned over all law enforcement in national parks to other agencies. A health and safety officer has ruled that under the Canada Labour Code, it's too dangerous for unarmed wardens to do things like catch poachers and stop illegal loggers.Under the Labour Code, Parks Canada has six months to either arm its wardens, or remove the law enforcement component from the job description permanently.
