Grandi achieves Canada’s best World Alpine finish since 1993 February 10, 2001
At the World Alpine Ski Championships in St. Anton, Austria, on February 10, Thomas Grandi of Banff was 13th, Canada's best finish in the men’s slalom at the worlds since Rob Crossan finished 13th in 1993. Grandi, starting 39th in the first run, made a huge jump to 14th place giving him the second starting position for the second. He moved up to 13th with a total time of 1:42.06. “It was a good for me to bounce back from a disappointing GS,” Grandi said. “I had a good race, I feel I'm back on track.” Related stories: Thomas Grandi |
