Housing prices ease in Canmore

The mayor of Canmore says a new bylaw which restricts how people can rent their homes is having an impact on the town's housing market. Canmore adopted new regulations which mean people cannot rent their homes to tourists for short periods. Town council felt the tourist homes were commercial enterprises operating in residential areas. Mayor Ron Casey says some people are now trying to sell those homes, pushing down housing prices.
