Blizzard of profits for Ontario ski resorts March 18, 2001
Heavy snowfall resulted in a banner year for the ski business in Ontario. The western provinces haven’t been so lucky. At the end of December, most ski resorts in Alberta had less than half their runs open and were making much of their own snow. Southern Ontario has been the beneficiary. “The snow in Western Canada hasn't been great, so people have been taking vacations here.” Related stories: ski hills |
