Banff gets $1m to upgrade sewage plant

The federal government is giving the town of Banff $1 million to upgrade its waste water treatment plant. Heritage Minister Sheila Copps says the Rocky Mountain resort town will be a model environmental community for the entire country. She says the plant will meet enhanced standards set out in the Banff National Park Management Plan.
