Banff to get funds for wastewater plant

The federal government said yesterday it will give $1-million over the next two years to the Town of Banff to upgrade a wastewater treatment plant in the national park. The investment will bring it in line with Alberta provincial environmental standards and make it one of the most efficient such facilities in North America, Heritage Minister Sheila Copps said in a statement.
