Spring snow boosts western ski industry April 9, 2001
In Western Canada, ski resorts are welcoming spring snowfalls that will extend the season and in some cases, help make up for a rocky winter. Snowfall in the Rockies and Western Canada was only 45 per cent of normal this winter, but the bleak skiing situation changed late last month. As of Saturday, Sunshine Village in Banff National Park was reporting 56 centimetres of fresh snow.
