The federal government is set to spend $20 million to keep 140 armed Mounties on patrol in Canada's national parks this summer, nabbing poachers and keeping the peace in campsites and picnic grounds. Parks Canada announced the new security measures this week after a health and safety officer rejected the agency's proposal to provide park wardens with rifles and shotguns for law enforcement.
