Report fron a recent Environment Canada conference. “There was even talk at the conference of starting a program to get volunteers to count squashed frogs, snakes and animals on the 900,000 kilometres of highway that zigzag across the country. There is mounting evidence that the carnage extends far beyond the blacktop by fragmenting and isolating populations of animals.”
