Parks Canada staff are getting new uniforms at a cost of $2.8-million over the next two years. The recognizable mustard yellow and brown Parks uniform, which is 14-years old, is being replaced by one that is green, with red and white accents. The new uniform will incorporate fleece and other high-tech fabrics and vests and jackets will replace the traditional sweaters. Carol Sheedy, executive director of Parks Canada Heritage communications, said the new uniforms would be phased in as old uniforms wear out.
