Aboriginal productions receive awards at Banff TV Festival

Two programs by aboriginal Canadian producers were honoured yesterday at the Banff Television Festival. The Telefilm Canada /Aboriginal Peoples Television Network prizes recognize one production in an aboriginal language and one in either English or French. Jim Compton is the director of programming at the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. He says these awards underline the fact that while APTN may be a new network, it has big ambitions
