Art of the Ensemble begins this Friday

This Friday, June 15, join us for the opening concert of the Art of the Ensemble, at 8 pm in the Rolston Recital Hall.Over 40 international musicians, representing the countries of Canada, the United States, Scotland, the Netherlands, Italy and Australia, arrive in Banff to take part in the three-week Chamber Music program. Under the guidance of three distinguished visiting artists, this program focuses on some of the most glorious repertoire ever written – that for the small ensemble. Lorand Fenyves, a Hungarian-born violinist, has been associated with The Banff Centre since 1973. He is on the faculty of the University of Toronto. Cellist Laurence Lesser is the former president of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Canadian Bernadene Blaha is on the keyboard faculty at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
