People living in Jasper have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a self-government agreement signed last month. The deal, worked out by the Jasper Town Committee with Heritage Minister Sheila Copps in June, was accepted by a vote of 74%. The town could be voting for its first mayor and council as early as October.
