Wolf snatches dog in Banff

Park wardens are searching for a one-year-old wolf suspected of creeping into the town of Banff and snatching a small dog from the front lawn of a home. Ian Syme, chief warden for Banff National Park, said the "loner" wolf -- known as Blue -- had been spotted in the area several times recently. He was seen by neighbours running off with the dog on Sunday. The wolf has been under observation since its birth and is equipped with a tracking collar. Wardens hope to catch the animal and place it in a zoo.
