Prime Minister Jean Chretien chose the secluded resort area 100 kilometres west of Calgary, not for its pristine backdrop, but to shut out the uninvited protesters and perhaps terrorists. But security experts say the strategy may backfire. "It's going to be very difficult for security forces to monitor movements in all those areas surrounding it," said Alan Bell, an energy security consultant who spent 22 years with the British military security services.
