Global math centre big plus for Banff

A long-awaited international facility for mathematics research is about to become a reality as a team of scientists prepares to launch the new centre in the mountains west of Calgary. Modelled on world-renowned centres in Europe, the Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery will provide a "non-conference" retreat where mathematicians can gather to ponder the greatest problems in algebra, geometry, statistics and other math disciplines.
