Nakiska dies at zoo

A 17-year-old female grizzly, known as Nakiska, was found dead at the Calgary Zoo on Sunday. She was brought to the zoo last September after being involved in two separate maulings in the Kananaskis area. Zoo keepers initially thought Nakiska had died as a result of injuries she suffered in a fight with a male bear. Now, they believe she may have died of natural causes. An autopsy is being conducted.
