Banff artist-in-residence Szekely dies, 97

Zoltan Szekely, the renowned violinist and long-time artist-in-residence at the Banff Centre died Oct. 5 at the age of 97. Born in Hungary, Szekely studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. By the age of 18 he was appearing in public recitals with the famed Bela Bartok.
