Banff tourism slide triggers layoffs

Without a prosperous snow season -- and a swift upswing in the economy -- the already-slumping tourism industry of Banff and Lake Louise faces a crippling blow it may never recover from, a spokesman for the resort towns said Monday. "I don't know if we will ever be back to normal," said Greg McKnight, executive director of the Banff/Lake Louise Tourism Bureau.
