Ski resorts hopeful of big season with early snowfall

It's starting early and all indications are that it will be a good snow season on the Rocky Mountain hills. Lake Louise opened last weekend with crowds in the 2,500 range Saturday and Sunday and good to excellent snow conditions on the upper half of the mountain. Sunshine Village opens Saturday, showcasing its new high-speed gondola that will eliminate lineups at the bottom, shorten the ride time and reduce the walking distance at the top.
