Banff shuns security forces

The site of armour-clad police patrolling the streets of Banff would ruin the town's tourist image, says its Deputy Mayor. John Stutz is urging the RCMP to refrain from overt displays of force during a meeting in Banff of G8 environment ministers in April, about two months prior to the G8 Summit in Kananaskis Country.
