When Picabo Street ruled the ski world a half-decade ago, you could count on a few things. She always showed up with a splashy paint job on her helmet. She always intimidated competitors with an unbridled confidence. She wore a Walkman and boogied around in the start house while others were just trying to breathe steadily. And she regularly waxed fellow racers in early-season World Cup races held on the icy Lake Louise slopes inside Canada's Banff National Park.
