The European Union has banned all grizzly bear trophies from British Columbia. This means European hunters coming to B.C. for recreational hunting will not be allowed to take their kills home with them. According to the EU, 35 per cent of the grizzlies hunted in B.C. each year are killed by foreign hunters. The German group that campaigned for this ban says this is the first step in getting the B.C. government to realize its international reputation is at stake.
