Mountain resorts set for winter visitors

In Canada's Rocky Mountains - the land of a million Christmas trees - they're savouring the arrival of cold and snow. Wintry weather is on schedule this year, coating the mountains and ski hills with fine powdery snow and creating ideal conditions for skiers, snowmobilers, ice climbers, dogsledders, skaters and sleigh riders. Ski operators say conditions are already better than they were most of last season, to the delight of businesses hoping for a return of tourists after a slower fall season.
