Police have identified a British tourist killed in a freak accident when she was thrown from a dogsled. Sheila Wisden, 48, of Essex, England was dog-sledding with her husband in the Spray Lakes west campground area, about 120 km southwest of Calgary, Sunday, police said. The woman was sitting in the front of the sled on a 45-minute guided tour with Canmore's Howling Dog Tours along the dog trails when, about 2:20 p.m., the sled slid off the path at the bottom of a grade.
