Kennedy pours out plan to save Bow

The Bow River will soon have a Kennedy as its champion. The Waterkeeper Alliance -- a star-powered United States-based eco-group that pummels polluters with lawsuits rather than protests -- plans to expand into Alberta. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the group's president, said Wednesday he will open a Waterkeeper chapter for the Bow River and eventually expand across Canada, in an effort to protect its waterways from commercial and industrial exploitation.
