A war of words between Alberta's environment minister and a prominent member of the Kennedy clan can only benefit one of the province's major rivers. That's according to Mark Bennett, the executive director of the Bow River Basin Advisory Council. On Thursday, Environment Minister Lorne Taylor shot back after Robert Kennedy Jr. criticized the Alberta government for not adequately protecting the Bow. Kennedy is an environmental lawyer, in Banff for a fundraiser for his group: Waterkeepers Alliance. Bennett says the whole kerfuffle will help to shine the spotlight on serious issues facing the Bow River. He says while he doesn't believe the river is under threat, he does think the government could do more to protect it.
