Hundreds of friends, family and colleagues are expected to attend the funeral of park warden Mike Wynn, who died following an avalanche in Jasper National Park. And organizers of the Canadian Avalanche Association are calling on the B.C. government to reinstate funding of an avalanche awareness bulletin they say helps to avert tragedies like this. Wynn, 37, and fellow wardens Randy Fingland and Brad Romaniuk were conducting avalanche risk assessments on a ridge about 120 km south of Jasper, when a giant blanket of snow rumbled down, trapping two of the men underneath.
