Emergency groups gear up for G8

The Town of Banff’s emergency services will prepare for the worst in anticipation of the events that will gather international attention this spring and summer. But how the worst will be defined is based on secured intelligence from the RCMP and a level of perceived threat that could change at any minute. The RCMP is conducting intelligence-driven policing and from that aims to make a threat assessment, said Sheila Luey, the Town’s communication manager.
