Grizzly bears in many areas of British Columbia are under such an intense threat that even an end to hunting would only slow their population decline and eventual demise, a research paper commissioned by an influential U.S. hunting group says. The paper from Safari Club International was undertaken in anticipation of the hunting ban the former NDP government imposed in B.C. early last year. It has not been publicly released
