A federal mediator has ruled that wardens in National Parks do have the right to speak out on issues that affect their jobs. The union representative for wardens in Banff, Doug Martin, says he has been reprimanded for speaking out about a controversial issue and he was afraid he could lose his job. But Martin says the mediator confirmed that wardens do have the right to speak out as long as the information is based on fact and they are not unduly criticizing Parks Canada.
