Bow Valley parents will have to scramble for news this weekend to see whether there will in fact be classes at the area’s public schools next Tuesday (Feb. 19). An expected decision by members of the local Alberta Teachers Association (ATA) last Monday night (Feb. 11) on when the union will present the local school board with the required 72 hours’ strike notice was deferred until after the actual strike vote Feb. 15. Canadian Rockies Public Schools superintendent Brian Callaghan said the division will try to communicate with parents through the local media, and will post information on its website.
