Bear’s demise renews plea for fence

An orphaned grizzly bear cub was killed when struck by a speeding driver as she tried to weave her way across the deadly Trans-Canada Highway near Lake Louise Tuesday morning. RCMP have charged a man from British Columbia with driving without due care and attention in the special 70-km/h speed zone. (It’s my experience that this speed reduction zone is routinely ignored — Ed.)
