Hungry bears back in town

Banff and Canmore residents are being reminded to stash their trash as early season heavy snowfall is expected to push hungry bears back to the valley bottoms in search of an easy snack. At least one grizzly bear sow has returned to lower ground near the Banff townsite and park officials are expecting more bruins may venture to the valley bottom soon.
