Waterkeeper Alliance designates Bow River for protection

Waterkeeper Alliance, an international conservation organization led by Robert Kennedy Jr., has granted Western Canada’s first Riverkeeper program to the Bow River. Rachelle Haddock, coordinator of the Mountain Parks Watershed Association, said the approval would result in “an unprecedented level of river protection for the Bow River in this, the International Year of Freshwater.”
